Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 17 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, purchases, and services provided by Float Therapy Ltd, trading as Float Therapy Wilmslow. By booking a session, purchasing a gift card, or using our services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Who These Terms Are With

These terms are between you and Float Therapy Ltd (company number 13374533), a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office and trading address is 82 Chapel Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5JH. We trade as Float Therapy Wilmslow.

By making a booking or using our facilities you accept these terms.

2. Bookings, Cancellations & Rescheduling

We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or change an appointment. Cancellations with less notice may be charged in full, because a late-cancelled slot is rarely refilled.

Please arrive in good time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late we may not be able to run your session, and it may be charged in full — later sessions are booked back to back and we cannot overrun without affecting the next guest.

Where we are able to move an appointment for you, we will offer Monday to Thursday, subject to availability. This is not a downgrade — our prices are the same every day — it is simply that weekend slots are limited and are usually taken by new bookings.

If we ever have to cancel or move your appointment, you may choose a full refund or an alternative time.

3. Prices & Payment

Prices are as shown at the time of booking and include VAT. We may change prices from time to time, but never for a booking you have already made and paid for.

4. Gift Cards

Gift cards are transferable — they are meant to be given to someone else, and whoever holds the card may use it.

Each gift card is valid until the expiry date shown on the card, and can be redeemed against any service, subject to availability. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. If a gift card is used against a lower-value service, any remaining balance stays on the card until it expires. Please keep your gift card safe: we cannot replace one that is lost or stolen if it has already been redeemed.

If you buy a gift card online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided it has not been redeemed.

5. Packages & Credits

Packages and prepaid credits are different from gift cards. They are personal to the purchaser and cannot be shared, split, transferred or used by anyone else, including friends and family. This is a firm rule and we are not able to make exceptions.

Each package is valid until the expiry date shown with the package at the time of purchase and confirmed in your booking confirmation. If you buy a package online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided no part of it has been used.

6. Memberships

A membership is a monthly agreement that gives you a set number of sessions each month, at a lower price than booking individually. Payment is taken automatically each month until you cancel.

Minimum term. All memberships run for a minimum of three months. This is because the monthly price is discounted against our standard rates, and the discount is offered on the basis of that commitment. You can cancel at any point during the minimum term, but the remaining monthly payments in that period will still be due.

Cancelling. After the minimum term, you can cancel by giving us one month’s notice — an email to reception@float-therapy.co.uk is enough. Your membership then runs to the end of the notice period and stops. We will not ask you why, and we will not make it difficult.

Your sessions. Unused sessions roll over for as long as your membership is active. If you cancel, you have 30 days from the end of your membership to use any sessions you have already paid for. We would rather you used them than lost them, so tell us and we will help you fit them in.

If you buy a membership online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. If you ask us to start it straight away and you use a session within those 14 days, we will charge fairly for what you have used and refund the rest.

Memberships are personal to you and cannot be shared, transferred or used by anyone else.

If a payment fails, we will let you know and try again. If we cannot collect payment your membership may be paused or ended, and sessions cannot be booked while it is unpaid.

If we change membership prices, we will give you at least one month’s notice, and you may cancel before the new price applies without giving further notice.

7. Refunds & Your Legal Rights

You may request a refund on a standard booking or purchase within 14 days of the transaction, provided the service has not been used.

Because our sessions are booked for a specific date and time, the 14-day cancellation right that applies to most online purchases does not apply to a booked appointment once that date is set. It does apply to gift cards, packages and memberships, as set out above.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. If a service we provide is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to have it put right, or to a reduction in price where that is not possible. If something has gone wrong, please tell us — we would always rather fix it. What we cannot refund is a session that was properly delivered but that you simply did not enjoy as much as you hoped.

8. Health, Safety & Suitability

Please tell us about any health condition, injury, medication or pregnancy before your first session, and let us know if anything changes. You will be asked to complete a short health declaration. It is important that the information you give us is accurate, because we rely on it to keep you safe.

Getting in and out safely. You need to be able to enter and leave the float pod, sauna and ice bath safely. If you think you may need assistance, please contact us before booking rather than not coming — we will do what we reasonably can to make a session work for you, and we would far rather have that conversation in advance than on the day.

Some services may not be suitable if you have, for example, a heart or circulatory condition, epilepsy, uncontrolled blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, incontinence, open wounds, a contagious skin condition, or if you are pregnant. This is not a list of bans — it is a list of reasons to talk to us first, and where appropriate to check with your GP. We will always try to find a service that suits you.

Please do not attend if you have had sickness or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours. This is a water hygiene requirement and it protects every guest who uses the pods after you. Tell us and we will move your appointment without charge.

Recent tattoos, hair colour and spray tans need time to settle before floating. Please check with us when booking.

Alcohol and drugs. We cannot admit anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and we may end a session on that basis. Water, heat and cold are not safe combined with either.

Minimum age is 16, and we may ask for proof of age.

Our services are not medical treatment and are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or care. Nothing we say about the benefits of floating, heat, cold or massage is a clinical claim, and you should not stop or change any prescribed treatment on the basis of it.

9. Arrival, Conduct & Use of Facilities

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your session. Eating or drinking immediately beforehand can affect your comfort.

Any damage caused by misuse of our facilities or equipment may be charged to you.

Respect for our team and other guests. Everyone here — our team and every guest — is entitled to feel safe and comfortable. Abusive, aggressive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour towards our team or other guests will not be tolerated.

All treatments are therapeutic and strictly non-sexual. Any behaviour, comment, request or suggestion of a sexual nature directed at a member of our team is a serious breach of these terms and will end your session immediately. This includes, but is not limited to:

• sexual remarks, innuendo, or questions about a therapist’s private life

• requests for treatment of areas of the body outside those included in the service booked

• requests to remove, reposition or dispense with towels, robes or coverings beyond what the service requires

• deliberate exposure

• any unwanted physical contact with a member of our team

• persistent personal advances, or requests for personal contact details

You will remain appropriately covered throughout any treatment. Your therapist will explain what to expect before beginning, and you are welcome to ask questions at any point.

Our team’s authority. Every member of our team has our full authority to end a session immediately and without warning, to ask a guest to leave, and to decline to serve a guest — at their own discretion, without needing to ask anyone first. Their judgement in the moment is final and we will support it.

Where a session is ended because of your conduct, it is treated as taken and no refund will be given.

Consequences. We may decline current and future bookings, cancel existing bookings, and bar an individual from the premises. Where behaviour may amount to a criminal offence we will report it to the police, and we will support any member of our team who wishes to do the same.

Contact with our team. Our team do not give out personal contact details and are not expected to respond to personal contact. Please communicate with us through the studio telephone or reception@float-therapy.co.uk.

10. Photography & the Privacy of Others

Photography, filming and audio recording are not permitted anywhere on the premises. Please keep phones on silent and respect the privacy of other guests in all shared areas.

11. Personal Belongings

Please bring only what you need, and use the storage provided. We take reasonable care of the premises, but we are not responsible for items left unattended in communal or changing areas, and we would ask you not to bring valuables.

Nothing in this section limits our responsibility where loss or damage is caused by our own negligence, and nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Your Information

We collect and use personal information, including health information you give us, in order to provide our services safely. How we do that — what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights — is set out in our Privacy Notice at float-therapy.co.uk/privacy-policy.

CCTV operates in communal areas of the premises for the safety of guests and staff. It does not operate in treatment rooms, changing areas or toilets. Further detail is in our Privacy Notice.

13. Booking Accuracy & Communications

Please make sure the contact details you give us are correct — we use them to confirm and remind you about appointments, and we cannot be responsible for a missed appointment where the details were wrong.

We will contact you by email, phone or SMS about your bookings. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time, and doing so will never affect booking confirmations or anything you need to know about your appointment.

14. Complaints

If something is wrong, please tell us as soon as you can — ideally at reception on the day, so we have the best chance of putting it right, or afterwards by email to reception@float-therapy.co.uk. We aim to respond within one working day.

Raising a complaint late does not affect your legal rights.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be on our website. Changes will not affect a booking you have already made — the terms that apply to your appointment are the ones in force when you booked.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
